my policies and information
Please read through these before reaching out with questions. If your inquiry isn’t answered here, feel free to email me.
Booking Appointments
My books are currently indefinitely open. I prefer to only book out a month or two at a time. Please allow up to a week for a response when submitting your request. If you’d like to book, just fill out the submission form on the “booking” page of the website. I do not accept every submission that comes in, and will base this decision on the style and subject matter of what’s requested. If I feel the tattoo is outside of my wheelhouse, I will not take it on. This is not personal, only my desire to give my clients the best quality piece within my ability. It is always best to go to an artist who’s portfolio reflects that which you want to get done.
If I ever have any last minute openings due to cancellations, I post them on my Instagram Story for people to claim.
Appointment Deposits
Deposits are $150 for half and full days.
All clients are required to pay a deposit when booking an appointment. Deposits are nonrefundable. Paying your deposit is an acknowledgment of a “contract” between artist and client and your commitment to showing up to your appointment. Deposits are included in the final price of your tattoo.
If you need to reschedule your appointment, and you’ve given me at least 72 hours notice, your deposit will be honored for a reschedule.
Deposits will be honored for one booking round (up to 4 months) before it will be forfeit and another deposit will be needed.
If you cancel within 72 hours of your appointment, your deposit will be forfeit.
forms of Payment
Cash is preferred. I will accept cards, zelle, or venmo if necessary. I will also accept Afterpay with a 10% added processing fee.
Tips are always appreciated, but never required or expected.
Designing and prep work
Due to the high volume of appointments I have each week, I am not able to have designs viewable much in advance. Tuesday’s are typically the day I spend drawing for each appointment that week, but most of the time I draw up to the night before the appointment. All designs will be ready when you come in for your appointments, and changes can be made then if needed. If it’s absolutely necessary you see the design beforehand, I will do my best to accommodate, so feel free to reach out and ask.
Last-Minute Cancellations
If you cancel your appointment within 72 hours you will forfeit your deposit and need to leave a new one to rebook. If you cancel with enough time in advance that I can fill the spot, your deposit will be honored for a reschedule. (I will make an exception for things out of both of our control like weather emergencies, or a reason on my end.)
If you cancel last minute THREE TIMES, I will ask that you find a new artist to work with. These appointments are our livelihood, and to cancel last minute is jeopardizing our ability to pay bills and take care of our family. No matter the reasoning, we can’t afford to keep scheduling a client who doesn’t respect our time. This can also go for anyone who generally reschedules a lot, always arrives late, etc etc. I will use my discretion to sever ties with any client I feel isn’t respecting me or my time.
No-Showing appointments
If you no-show, as in giving no advance notice before not showing up to your appointment, you will forfeit any deposits. I will request you find a new artist and will not book further appointments with you. Sending an email, an instagram message, calling... any of those things are easy to do, more respectful, and are all preferred over ghosting your artist.
touch-ups
I will always offer touch ups on my work to ensure it’s longevity. No tattooer is perfect, and not every tattoo will heal perfectly. Sometimes its because of how I worked the skin, sometimes it’s how the client takes care of it while healing, sometimes its just the skins natural healing response. There are a lot of variables with injecting artwork into skin that can’t always be accounted for.
I offer one free touch up for every tattoo should it need it. Any subsequent touch ups will be $50.
I always recommend giving the tattoo at least a month to heal before seeing if it’s needed.
If you think you need a touch up:
Shoot me an email with a photo of your tattoo and your upcoming availability. I will do my best to fit you in as soon as I can between my apts. Week days will work out easier and quicker on my end, weekends may be booked a bit further out.
reworks and cover-ups
from another artist
I definitely prefer not to work on artwork that is not mine, unless there are extenuating circumstances involved. (Said artist is not local anymore, passed away, was problematic/inappropriate, etc) These will need to be submitted as a normal booking request when my books open and I will take a look on a case by case basis. This goes the same for coverups, where I will evaluate on a case-by-case basis. Clients wanting cover-ups need to be open-minded and flexible for the design being put over an existing tattoo. If I don’t feel comfortable or confident in being able to cover the tattoo well, I will be honest about this and decline the submission.
Aftercare
I use Recovery brand derm bandages after every tattoo unless asked otherwise by the client. I always thoroughly go over aftercare at the end of every appointment and what my recommendations are. If you have gotten tattooed and are ever unsure of the aftercare, feel free to email me with your questions and I will help the best I can.
Giveaways
I periodically will do raffles and giveaways for free tattoo time. Winners need to be open to creative freedom from me for their pieces and agree to anything being in my artistic style. Any amount of time gifted needs to be used and claimed by the winner only, it’s not transferable. This credit needs to be used within 4 months (two booking rounds) of winning or it will be forfeit.
